Fater addressed the issue of post-use by developing the first plant capable of recycling used absorbent hygiene products.

No more landfill or incinerators, instead the recovery of plastic, cellulose and super absorbent polymer; secondary raw materials that can create an opportunity for reapplication in a number of production processes.
The recycling plant is located at the headquarters of our partner Contarina SpA in the province of Treviso.
Recycling makes it possible to recover high quality secondary raw materials, which can be used in the production of many new products. From 1 tonne of recycled waste, we can recover 150kg of cellulose, 75kg of plastic and 75kg of super absorbent polymer.
