Pescara 13/03/2017 – It was held this morning, at the track 1 of Pescara Central station, the awards ceremony of Fater among circular economy champions in Abruzzo, at the Green Train of Legambiente and the Italian State Railways.

Fater is among the winners of the first Pescara stage, for having designed, patented and manufactured a product recycling system of used personal hygiene items in Italy. The system is being tested on industrial scale in Veneto, at Contarina spa, a company that specializes in recycling and waste management. The technology developed by Fater spa allows to retrieve and enter into new manufacturing processes plastic and cellulose separately.

Product recycling of used absorbent of all brands, if spread throughout the whole country, would eliminate the equivalent of 3 landfills every year.
In these two days of Legambiente in Abruzzo there was also the possibility for all citizens to deepen the experience of virtuous circularity that the Green Train tells in the inner spaces of its carriages.

The environmentalist convoy was created with the participation of the Ministry of Environment and Protection of Land and Sea, which is making a trip across the peninsula to promote knowledge and dissemination of circular economy.
The final destination of the message of Legambiente and of the testimony of circularity champions is Brussels, where an ongoing discussion is aimed to approve the European act regarding circular economy.

On the 24th of April the appointment will take place with a special stage in Brussels, together with 100 champions of circular economy that will meet the EU Commission Vice President, Jyrki Katainen and MEP Simona Bonafè, rapporteur for the European act on circular economy.
