A Way to Care for Yourself and Others
“Nothing we do is worth getting hurt over.”
Corrado Palestini - Head of Corporate HS&E
Every three days in Italy, someone leaves for work and is never seen again.
We are a large company with many employees and extensive facilities, and we strongly believe that safety is a value that cannot be overlooked. This includes not just physical safety, but also psychological, relational, and cultural safety.
At Fater, we see safety not just as a corporate duty, but as a shared responsibility. It involves safeguarding individuals, their families, and the communities in which we reside.
We hosted the ROCK’N’SAFE® concert at our Pescara plant and Fater Campus in Spoltore. This innovative format uses music and emotion to discuss safety in a genuine, engaging, and human way.
A moment to pause, look into each other’s eyes, and remember what truly matters: not the urgencies, but the people, the ones we collaborate with daily, and those waiting for us at home.
We have discussed the importance of psychological safety, authentic relationships, and the impact of leading by example.
In the 2023–24 fiscal year, we committed 116,839 hours to training our employees on health and safety. We collaborate with over 100 companies on these topics and are proud members of AIAS’s Club for Large Organization Prevention and the Technical Scientific Committee of ASSIDAL, two of Italy’s largest industry associations. Our team actively participates in working groups, conferences, and discussions with other companies, experts, and institutions.
These collaborations offer valuable opportunities to share best practices, develop skills, and work towards a safer future for everyone. A culture of safety extends beyond merely following procedures; it starts with each of us and is built together every single day.
